Coxtie Green Beer & Music Festival

We're currently helping to organise the White Horse Beer and Music Festival at Coxtie Green, Brentwood, the biggest FREE festival in the area. Starting Thursday 12th July and continuing til Sunday evening on 15th, there will be a dj on the Friday night plus live music all day Saturday and Sunday.

The line-up for this year's event starts with the NapkinArse, Shakedown, Hell n Back, Reeper, Rusty Sherrifs and finishes with the Fabulous Chocolate Turtles on Saturday. Sunday starts with Stealer, Lobster, Shady Deal, Undercover and finishing with Dave Danger and Beef for Sunday. In addition The White Horse Band are set to entertain within the pub on Friday night and DJ Dansey will hit the decks in the beer garden.

This year's chosen charity is The Little Havens Children's Hospice - offering specialist one on one care for children with life-threatening and life-limiting illnesses.

Timetable, maps and links to band websites appear on the Undercover website.

We've now received confirmation that MusicTek are kindly
providing the PA for the event. They will be attending with their MusicTek Bus which is currently receiving much publicity. The routemaster bus, which first hit the streets of London in 1966, is kitted out with 24 track digital recording studio and kitchenette and should become an interesting showpiece in its own right. More details about the bus and pix can be found here MusicTek

We're expecting a line-up change on Saturday as the Danglers have a double booking. Hopefully we can re-arrange their slot for a Sunday appearance. Confirmed details will follow shortly and posters and flyers will be appearing at the end of the April.
The whole event will be video recorded by Dagiboboto, taking full sets from each of the bands and footage from cameras placed around the grounds.

We've now had confirmation of the opening band for Saturday's live entertainment. The Andy Robinson Band will take the slot of The Danglers with some classic Rock n Roll. Andy has attended the festival for the last few years so he'll make a great opening act.
We're also negotiating a special guest band for Sunday but details for that will not appear until the day.
The posters and leaflets for the event are at approval stage and are expected to go to print shortly. They will be available from this blog and the Undercover site for bands to download to use for their own promotion as an Adobe Acrobat .pdf file.

After all the work, the web and print advertising, the arranging and endless discussions we were forced to cancel this gig due to Mick having problems with his knee and I was having probs with my voice:

Johnny and I visited the festival on Sunday to support the bands and I took the stage to apologise and to promote the charity.
The whole event seemed a great success with large volumes of people arriving and only minimal rain. Thanks to all those who turned up and sorry for those who turned up to see us, we tried to contact as many as possible to alert them.
It was a dam shame because there were many old faces from the Castle and days of yesterday and the crowd looked perfect for some Undercover fun.
